I am only 32 days from getting rid of Sprint & moving to the iPhone!
....... but who's counting?

Now that the 3G and 2.X has been out for a while is there an advantage to going to one or the other companies to sign up for a new contract & iPhone? I will be signing up for a 700 minute Family plan with one iPhone & some other phone for my wife.

The AT&T store is more convenient but if there is a problem in the first few days will they exchange the iPhone or will I have to go to the Apple store?

Thanks.

Either will be fine. You can get the iPhone serviced at either for the first 14 days, then you have to go to an Apple Store (because within the first 14 days they just do a no-questions-asked exchange).

Not sure where an exchange would be done, but if you are buying an iPhone + a different phone, then AT&T would be your choice, since the Apple Store doesn't sell other phones.
