So i just picked up a 27" iMac and I have some Ram just setting here from my 2011 21'5 iMac that I just sold and I wanted to install it on the new 27" but I plan on returning it for the new ones if they release next month. Do you guys think I should install it and then remove them when I return the iMac? Would there be any issues? I'm almost 90% sure there wont be but still wanted to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks for the help in advance.

It takes 5 minutes to install/uninstall it. If you want to put it in, do it, then take it back out before you return it.

You bought a iMac and you're going to return it when the new ones get released next month?

So you know they're coming out and you somehow figured out a loophole to allow you to return past the 14 days for no other reason than you want a new one?

OK.

Install the RAM, you'll probably be using the computer in a few months still.

Yes you got that straight!

Some questions on this forum never cease to amaze me

Why is that? Explain yourself?

Apple operates a 14 day return period even when the hardware product's been opened - that's generous enough! They'll just remind you that you had 14 days to change your mind and return the product, so why would they honour a return beyond that?

Lol apple is not the only spot to buy there products.

I never suggested they were, but not many stores have such a nice returns policy, at least where I live.

If you happen to be a Best Buy Silver Rewards member, the return policy is 45 days. I don't think you can do better than that.

That's pretty decent. Sadly I'm not based in the US so I'd have no idea about Best Buy. :)
