No. You damage the firmware beyond repair, possibly meaning your iPod could become an iBrick. Better to be safe than sorry for something of that price - especially when the SDK is on the horizon.
There isn't a real jailbreak for the touch 1.1.3. Currently there are only soft upgrades that rearrange certain aspects of the touches firmware so that it is "tricked" into believing it is 1.1.3. So to answer your question, no. It is a better idea to wait for the upcoming SDK

Hmm i jailbroke my ipod 1.1.3 and download the 1.1.3 app upgrade from installer everything works great ....without the apps ipodtouch is useless...lol...not that fun
I would recommand if you do brake it to get TouchPad its great
