Should I Jailbreak now??

I just got an ipod touch 4 for my gf, but its for her xmas gift. Anyways, my friend says that I should jailbreak it now before anymore updates because then I will never be able to jailbreak it until iOS5 comes out.
Is this true? Should I open it up, update it now and jailbreak asap?

Also, for the sake of not having to search
Where can I find the most up to date jb for ipod touch 4?

Well your friends is most likely wrong. it might take i little while to have a jb out but it will be there.

It may still be on 4.1 if so then you can jailbreak it with np. if it is on 4.2.1 then your gonna have to wait for the unthethered jb to come out. Is your gf tech savy? Does she even want to JB? It's not as cut an dry as it seems, it does take a bit of know how to do and use.
