Hello,

I just purchased my first Mac and I successfully installed Windows via Boot Camp. So far so good but I don't see how the fan will work when I close the lid while the I'm not using the laptop screen... there are no openings underneath the device!

I also noticed the device heating up more while using Windows.

Please advise. Thanks.

It is safe to use your Macbook Pro with the lid closed. Else Apple would have forced it to turn off.

My opinion is that it gets too warm with the lid closed and it on. Thus, I only use mine for light work with it closed.

The vents are in the back by the hinge, not on the bottom or through the keyboard. It's fine to use it in clamshell mode.
