I sold my silver 7 plus 128gb on Wednesday for 720€. I wanted to try the mattblack one. Since I had an eBay coupon with 50€ off for my next order paid via PayPal, I ordered a black 7 plus 128gb for 780€-50€=730€ on Thursday from a vendor, not private person.
It was supposed to be new and sealed but when I received the package yesterday I noticed that the vendor sent me a cpo mattblack which is also regularly sold by him for 750€
I contacted him and asked what went wrong. He answered me some hours later, that he is so sorry. He sent me the wrong phone and someone else received the phone which I was supposed to get. He said I can return him the cpo and he'll send me another one. I said okay ( it can happen afterall right?) and that I'll send the phone today.additionally I asked him whether he'll send me the right phone via express mail in return, so I receive it on Monday for sure. Unfortunately he hasn't got any other mattblack in stock he answered and asked me if I'd suggest anything else.
Since I haven't unboxed the phone yet, I asked him that I'd like to see whether the phone is okay. and since the transaction went wrong and I'm still without a phone I asked him for another 100€ off.
The regular 30€ difference between a cpo and a brand new sealed phone out of the factory Is not much imo and I'd always pay the 30€ extra for the brand new one . He has not answered yet and I haven't unboxed the phone yet. I'm thinking about what to do and if I should be happy with the cpo if he agrees to grant me the additional 100€ off.
Would you be?
Another problem is that I won't be able to use the 50€ off coupon again since it's only available till 4th of october. If I return th phone and ask for my money, PayPal will need more than one week to actually return my money on my bank account and until that I won't be able to buy me another phone.
The cpo is officially from Apple with all the guarantees and extras and is still sealed. I'm tempted to open the box and look whether the phone is okay
