Guy at my job offered to trade me his 15" macbook pro late 2010 i5, for my 13" late 2011 i5..... both our macbooks have 4gb. 500gb hd. Is this a decent trade?

Im just converting to mac from pc..... So i really don't know... i appreciate the reply.

Something tells me sky blue is just looking at the dates. His answer is stupid.

It's a great trade. You'll get much more graphical power and a higher resolution for a slight CPU power trade off.

15" has a dedicated GPU which is always an advantage.

Preference really, depends on the condition of both etc. I prefer the form factor of the 13" but I would love one with a dedicated graphics card. The retina 13" spoilt that option but the new Haswell CPU's due this year should remove some need of a dedicated card :)
