Should I open up my late 2013 rMBP to clean out the dust?

Are you having throttling problems right now? If you kick off a CPU heavy task for an extended period of time, are you seeing aggressive throttling due to temperature?

Yes I have opened it up before.

Just be careful what you touch. Chances are you'll probably be fine. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Its up to you. Good luck

First thing to do after removing the bottom cover would be to disconnect the battery.

Definitely. Do not go poking around without doing that first

If you done it before, why ask if its too dangerous? Do what's comfortable, and if you don't feel comfortable about opening it, then don't

Wait a minute. I have no clue how to remove the battery although a quick google search would probably teach me how.

That being said, all I was going to do was open it up and use a manual air blower to blow the dust away.

Then screw the cover back on.

About to do it in the next hour...backing up on time machine now
