Just wondering id there is any advantage to ordering stuff like wireless keyboard and track pad with MBP from apple store, or can i wait and get later since its a lot of $$ all at once? TIA

if you get Apple Care, everything s covered under one receipt at time of purchase. If you buy later, they won't be covered.

IMO ... stuff like wireless keyboard and track pad you do not need ... however get an external HD for Time Machine from another place for cheaper.

Time Machine is a must

+1

Also, if you need help setting up your new accessories, then the folks at the store can help. Saying you cannot hookup a wireless keyboard or a magic trackpad. :)

Yes, buy an external hard drive to backup your goodies as they pay dividends.

ps if u're getting the HE discount, you also get 11% off apple accessories
ony my last MBP (back in dec) i got the magic mouse.. used it twic then sold it on ebay

i became heavily reliant on my trackpad and wireless keyboards (as pain from using macbook keyboard diggin into my wrists...grrr)

i was told to the contrary; apple sales@ regent st branch said that
that the apple care would not cover the peripherals

however, when i faced a few difficulties pairing the wireless keyboard + mouse on windows, i cheekily rang apple, and they walked me thro the set-up

Both are wrong.

Apple will generally cover any accessories through the length of the warranty of your computer even if they aren't purchased at the same time. Examples would be Airport Extreme routers, keyboards, etc.
