So I am From fiscally irresponsible doing this now; waiting to see if Apple is going to release a fold next year, To having both devices in my Samsung cart. Presently have a 13 Mini & S7. Samsung will give me $300 OFF trading both in.

Currently on 18.6.2 & 11.6.1 & am getting so fed up with these annoying issues.
  • Reminders not going away when completed on my iPhone or actually going away then reappearing in my notifications
  • Siri's erratic performance when I hold down the power button on the phone with sometimes responding right away to having to wait almost 3 second until it is listening
  • Siri's huge issue with not understanding my requests on both devices, which I know are Siri specific because when I use the mic to speak to text someone, it is almost perfect including punctuation added when I pause long enough
  • Activating Siri on my watch & while speaking my request, getting ghosted by Siri. This is only temporary fixed by resetting my network & then I have to put in all my network passwords again & rename my phone, which at this point is not getting old, but dead & buried
    • *EDIT* Also adding: When Siri does actually follow through & listens to me on my watch & I set a reminder, it will keep spinning & finally says "Sorry, could you say that again?" Then a couple minutes later, I check my Reminders & find it did set the reminder anyway!
      • Again, resetting my network only fixes this temporarily
I could go on & on, but these are my core uses for my devices. If I choose to endure this for another year I can enjoy another year of technology advancement, which is almost offset by the fact my trade-in values for both current Apple devices will probably will be hundreds less, if any monetary value at all.

Also, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is as good (or better) than the Apple Watch Ultra 3 just released. Total cost for both Samsung devices after trade-in = $1,500, which I do not have to finance.

Thoughtful responses please. Thank you.

Go for it.

A word of caution though regarding the watch. Samsung's watch hardware is very well built, very good quality. What you need to research is are the apps and features you use on your Apple watch available in wear OS. I tried Samsung's watch ultra last year and Wear OS and available apps fell short for me when compared to Apples watch OS. Obviously it's going to be different for everybody so just do a little research before you pull the trigger. For so many people the capabilities are equal. I'm a pretty heavy user of my Apple watch and found just lots of shortcomings for how I use it.

Looking at the videos of the 2025 Samsung watch, I am already sold on the blue Titanium round look with the blue flex band. Like you said, more research needs to be done with the functional aspect & the apps.

Then I have to see if I will be able to get everything I need with the outer flip screen when closed, which if I can, will move this forward. All in all, no minuses at this point. Glad I was able to take a breath before I decided to commit. It may lead up to a Black Friday deal. I want to lock this in sooner though, if I can.

Found out something about the Galaxy Watch Ultra. If I buy the 2024 version right now, it's $200 less than the 2025 & the only thing I would be missing out is double the storage & the Titanium Blue version that's on the 2025 model. Checked my storage on my S7 & see with all the apps I have (with not adding any apps in quite a while) along with a single huge Spotify library downloaded in the S7, I still have 21 GB left out of 32GB available, so I am definitely good there.
