Hey guys, I'll be purchasing a laptop soon. I'm wondering if the 2010 MBP will be able to keep up with simple web browsing, processing, skype, and iMovie, that's about it. Should I grab the C2D model, or wait for a possible MB refresh which may have a i3 processor?

I also have an iPad 1st gen. Is there any reason that may persuade me to sell it for a 2011 MBP with some upgrades instead?

Not that you need it for what you want to do but the MacBook might get a refresh once Back-to-school promo starts.

i3 processor? You do realize that the current 13 inch base MBP comes with a core i5, right?
