I purchased not too long ago a Macbook Unibody 2.4Ghz. I am currently attending and in less than a month graduating from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. My schools Apple store is offering Final Cut Express 4 for $69 compared to everywhere else for around $199. I am interested in stuff like this but dont know how much i would actually use this. Do you think it is worth it? Should i upgrade my RAM first to 4GB? I tend to grasp any technology pretty quickly and how to use it, so i dont think the learning curve would be so bad.

I think the only question is what are you going to use it for?

Pretty much just random stuff, something to play around with and experiment with. The only real videos i would get are up at my buddies lake-house where we wakeboard and do other water-sports and thats about it.

If you use iMovie and often feel it is limiting you, then I would get FCE. Otherwise you are wasting your money.
