Hi, I've had this mac for about a year and all of a sudden it started going really slow, like when i would go on nike it would be fast, but now i can't even get off the homepage. And every once in a while it would just freeze for a second when I'm clicking links on safari.

There is nothing difficult about resetting SMC, I doubt it could make things worse, and I see no reasons
why not to do it just in case. Hope it will resolve your issue
