I just got a refurbished macbook pro retina 15" on saturday.
It is so beautiful!
However.... One problem started today.
It's like a tick sound from the left specker but very short and stop and come back again in like 45 mins
It only makes a tick sound 4 times, "tick tick tick tick" (always) and gone.

There are no any other problems beside the tick noise.

Should i return it for the 14 days policy?

I still have 14 days policy.
Should i return and re-purchase it or just wait until it gets worst and use my 1 yeat warranty?

you have 2 option

1. use your warrany (14 days is enough) and then u buy apple plan care
or
2. buy apple plan care and then using new warranty :D

I say return it and then buy a new unit; if it has problems out of the package, that's usually not a good sign, since the quality inspection seems not to have been very thorough on this unit. Also, if you are buying with a CC, check your CC's policy since many of them extend the manufacturer warranty by a year, making Apple Care expensive for what it actually provides, so it might not be worth it as another poster recommended.

You don't know how bad the sound problem will get and when it will get worse.

If I got a defective unit, I would be dealing with getting it replaced instead of asking the internet "What should I do?" and waiting for responses.

Thank you so much for all advices. This is my first time buying macbook pro. So i dont know what should i do about returning or warranty stuff.

my next question is:
should I return and re-purchase it OR just get a replacement?
buy the way, the ticking noise came last night after the hard using a whole day, and I haven't gotten the ticking noise yet for today.

Thank you

Just get a replacement.
why? maybe your mac have a many/some problem right? like a car after accident and then insurance repair your car. your car maybe look like new, but will not same with the first time come from dealer, right?

if you have a money, maybe you buy a new MBP and then sell the old one (after replacement).

you're right. I just worried too much if I get a worst Macbook pro for the replacement. LOL
I don't have any issues beside the ticking noise. And it hasn't been occur since last night yet.

Idk if I should ignore it or go ahead and return.

Thanks again

How is this different than any other product you've owned that had problems?

actually I never had a laptop that costs more than $2000. And this is my first time so I have to be more careful about it.

I'm going to return it tomorrow. Hopefully I get a better replacement.
