I have recently replaced (by apple due to bad battery) 3GS and can get $150 for it. I can't decide if I should take the money or keep it as a backup in case I loose the 4s. What do you think I should do?

Considering that a new 3GS from the carriers is free in certain circumstances, I say $150 is a very good price.

Looking for advice from the community, sorry to offend you.

I kept my original iPhone and it ended up collecting dust in my desk for two years until I gave it away.

Sell it now since the value will only decrease. If you're old backup just gathered dust, must likely the same thing will happen again.

Thanks for the responses. I think I'm going to sell it, but will likely prove Murphy's law doing so. We'll see.

I would sell it or give it away if..

1. I can find a way to unlock it without losing the GPS feature.

2. someone would take it.

But I would go on that route as well.
