Hi all!!!!!!

I own a iMac Core i3 3.2 GHz Core i3, 4 GB Ram, 27" Screen, and a 1 TB HDD
and I need a faster computer with more friendly upgrades than an iMac but i cannot afford a mac pro. Someone wants to buy the iMac from me for $1200. Should i sell my iMac for a better PC????

I don't mind using Windows since i use it on a daily basis

Thanks For replies!!!!

By the Way should i go with an AMD processor or intel???

AMD seems to be very good for performance but i have never owned an AMD anyone know????

Depends what you want to do? You could possibly build your own computer if anything. I personally prefer Intel over AMD. For editing (photo/video), gaming, etc I would look into an intel i7 2600k processor (Sandy-Bridge).

You should sell it and get a new iMac, Quad-Core i5 is better than the one you've got. By the way, what do you do on a Mac? That's the most important thing. What don't you like about this iMac? Maybe what you need is a SSD + more RAM :)

However, I don't think you will used to a "DIY PC" over an iMac :D

I think it depends on if you will miss the 27 inch high res screen. If you are happy with a 1080P monitor, than a $1200 Windows PC will be a good choice. Otherwise you could spend a bit more on top to get a 27 inch quad core i5 imac.
