Hi!!!!

Im thinking about selling my MBP in order to get a macbook air

My MBP has:
2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM

Do you think its worth selling my MBP for a macbook air
I already have an iMac and my macbook pro is too much power that is just getting wasted so what do you guys think

Would the sale of the MBP cover the cost of a MBA?

If not, keep the MBP and save your money, given that you stated you really don't need a laptop since you already have a main computer to work off of.

not sure how the cost of that pro would cover the cost of a new air?
unless you want the 11'' model.

to any effect we can't tell you to much from what you have told us?

what would you be doing with the air vs mac? (programs,task,ect..)

But seeing that you have survived with a core 2 duo your prob ok to go with the air.

you could. i don't know if you should. it all depends on your budget, the screen size you want, whether you'd like lion, your usage, etc. do what you want :)

I don't know which model it is, but I assume that it's 13" from 2009, or before, since 2010 MBPs had 4GB of RAM as standard.
Yea, I would say it's not going to go over $500~$600.
If you have the extra money to spend on, then why not go ahead and sell your current machine?

Yes you should. You can sell it for about $600-650 and buy a used 2010 11" MBA for about $700-750. I'm sure you'll appreciate the much better portability of te MBA.

I've been thinking about doing this with my 2009 MBP but the only Air I want is the new 2011 MBA so the costs don't really get covered.

If you do need portability, getting an Air may be a good idea, but it does depend on your budget.
