Should I send my iPod Back?

A couple months ago I had to service my iPod (4th Gen 40GB), and they couldn't fix it so I assume they gave me a refurbished one. Anyways, my pod only holds a 6 hr charge? I'm pretty sure my old one had atleast 8 hrs. What the max charge 4th gens start with? It's such a hassle to send it in.

it should get more than 6 hours, but it depends on your settings, etc. take it to an apple store. can't hurt to try.

All the settings are on default. No equalizer and stuff.

Ehh, I hate goin' to the store. Not so good experiences there. But it would be more convinient than electronically. Most likely tell me to do it online, just like they did last time.
