Hey guys!

I've been thinking about trying T-Mobile for a while now, but with the iPhone 6s releasing this week and band 12 support, I'm thinking this may be the best time to switch.

T-Mobile would be about $10 more than what I am paying Sprint now (tax included) and I was just wondering if it'd be worth it. Sprint service has improved in the Atlanta area but I feel like I could get way more for my money with T-Mobile.

How do you guys feel about your service with T-Mobile and also since I'd be giving up unlimited data for 5GB data on T-Mobile, I feel like I'd still be fine because of Music Freedom.

Has Music Freedom cut down your data usage?

Thank you!

I've been a Tmo customer for 6 years and I'm happy. I haven't tried other carrier yet so I can't compare. Music freedom is very nice but I have unlimited everything 2 lines for $100

I used to go over 5gb without music freedom. Now, I barely get to 2gb a month. Yeah music freedom is a huge deal.

You definitely should. Unlimited data is worthless if it's unusable due to slow speeds.

Plus T-Mobile has the best perks in the industry.

This question comes down to how well the network performs in the areas you need coverage. If you never leave the city, T-Mobile is probably a good choice. I get better coverage with Sprint in north TX and the southern US believe it or not. I think they have a test drive going on still.

Wow, not one Sprint supporter haha! But I think I'm definitely leaning towards switching to T-Mobile. Today in downtown Atlanta I ran a LTE speedtest and got .64mb down, so that pretty much solidified my decision. Hoping T-Mobile is a night and day experience!

I live about 20 minutes outside Atlanta (gwinnett) and t-mobile service is worse than sprint here.

LOL yes, as long as you see PINK on the coverage map where you usually hang out/live you will see over .64Mb/s. I consistently see over 30 down.

In a word: Yes.

Personally I have Verizon (grandfathered unlimited data plan), but if I had to switch I would definitely go T-Mobile.

You haven't read my signature have you? ;)

Second line down, towards the right. :D

I'm actually a common sense over blind fanboy advocacy supporter. My response wasn't saying go with T-Mobile, it was YMMV. There are lots of unhappy T-Mobile users where I live, but they've won over a vocal minority of fans with their "perks" and anecdotal evidence of superior speeds from people who are near the 2 or 3 hotrod towers in town.

John Legere wears pink underwear. ;)

Yes T-Mobile is very good in Atlanta. I was getting around 70 Mbps down speeds in most parts of the metro last time I was there and this was without a band 12 device. Which means it should be even better with a 6s.

I recently made the switch to Sprint due to a broken ATT phone and the desire to be able to upgrade to the 6S+ when it comes out.

I'd suggest taking the T Mobile Test Drive and see how it works, they do offer the ability to also cancel within 30 days. It all depends on your live/commute/work patterns. I tend to do some more rural traveling and T Mobile struggles there while Sprint at least has 3G coverage.

Good luck!
