Should I take out the sim card in the old phone?

I upgraded to the 3G, I want to sell my phone, I restored it to factory settings, I don't see any of my info on it anymore, but should I sell it without the sim? Is there any risk?

They can't reactivate that sim card, so why keep it inside?
