Received my iPhone 6 on Saturday by mail and gave my son my i5. I am eligible to trade in his white 4S 16gb with ATT for a $200 promotional card, but am wondering if I should keep it for a back up just in case. It is 9 mo's old and in perfect condition. Any advice?

I'd keep it. My 4S sound card died somehow and I didn't have a backup. If you can afford to get the phone without the trade-in then I'd keep it.

I just traded it in for $200 towards our bill, then upped our data to ATT's double data 30gb deal, plus they let me add insurance to our almost 2yr old Nexus 4 without even looking at it.. It was a good day ;)

I kept my iP5 that was beat up around the edges and traded in my 8GB 4s for the $200 promo card. I used it as my backup for my 5 which I used once while getting the sleep/wake button replaced. the vibrate didn't work and they didn't check. I bought a JBL Charge and still have credit left over.

Run to the store!

Run to your nearest AT&T store as fast as you can without endangering your phone and trade it in now. That's the exact price my 4S was traded in for to get my 5 four months before the 5S came out.

You're getting a great deal, I was kinda dumb.

Go do it. Let us know how the 6 is.

I did it! See my post above yours. Even though I bought it through Apple oniline there were no problems whats so ever. On the receipt it says trade in $100 and then an extra $100 for the promotion. I love my 6. Played with the 6+ and although I could pull it off, I am sticking with the 6 ;)
