I like the new 14 inch for its portability and the pro-motion screen. As last time I checked, Apple site offers $1430 for my I9 MBP 16, is that a good deal? Or should I keep the 2019 16 MBP as a spare computer?

I am in same position, only mine is Macbook pro 13 inch 2019, i5 quad core.
I think i will trade for MBA m1 after studying all models.

I traded it in. I wanted to downsize and have a custom gaming PC. The base 14" is more than enough for out and about when I'm not at my main computer.

Probably could've gotten more for it selling it directly to someone, but the in store trade in process was super simple and without any risks.

That’s what I did

Apple gave me 1600 for mine. I would not say that’s a good deal, after how much they charged me for it, but I absolutely hated the hot and noisy 16” and I love the new 14” so it made sense for me

The base 14” is faster and I haven’t heard the fans once yet

Yes, could have made more private party but I didn’t really want to deal with it

How’d you get $1600? Only got offered $1430 here too. Assume higher spec than base?
