Getting tired of using a Windows machine for work and I travel a lot so looking for something portable. I'm considering selling my mid 2010 iMac (i3, 3.06GHz) and getting the M5 2016 MacBook. My biggest question is what can I expect in terms of performance differences? I primarily use office applications but occasionally play some of the old Total War games.

Generally you probably won't notice much difference. If anything it might be a bit quicker.

I'm not familiar with the game you are trying to play but as a general rule if it's old or less extravagant it'll probably be fine.

Don't forget Win10 runs great on rMB and is good for games too :)
