Considering I always have my iPhone with me and my AW is always connected to it via Bluetooth, am wondering if my AW battery would last longer if I turned off WiFi. I see it’s usually always on and I don’t use WiFi all that much, even when I’m at home.

If it has a connection to the wi-fi that uses less power than relying only on Bluetooth through the iPhone. If it does not have Wi-Fi but it's on and searching for it that uses more

Are you sure about that? I’m pretty sure it prefers to connect to an iPhone and will not search for wifi as long as that BT connection to the iPhone is present. See here:https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204562

Not sure, no. My comment was based on quite a small set of personal testing and could easily be influenced by other variables. In any case though I don't think it's really a big enough difference to worry about anyway, but cheers

if the watch has a bluetooth connection to your phone, it's wifi and cellular are powered down.
if the watch has a wifi connection, it's cellular is powered down.
if it looses both of those it powers it's cellular radio on, assuming you have one

Depending on the size of your house, what it's built out of, and where your watch and phone are in the house, there is a chance wifi could kick on inside your house.

Yes, definitely. My watches have connected to my phone from opposite sides and floors of our house.

So I’m guessing that’s a vote for turning WiFi off?

Gotta tell ya all, seems like many are divided on this issue.
Sorry for the vagueness; but I vote for leaving it ON. In the scenarios I described earlier, I believe the watches were using Wi-Fi to connect to the phone.

No. Not if you want to retain its smart features, since then it is offline (unless you have an LTE version, which is worse battery wise).

I would say, you should not worry about. The watch has a priotized order of most battery friendly connection (BT before WiFi before LTE) and will not power those unused connection, when not needed.

Only if you are away from your phone and Known WiFi on a non LTE watch, might you get a minor battery improvement.
