I have been enjoying my new iMac for a few months now. I bought it re-furbbed and the specs said iLife '08, so I was happy to see an iLife '09 CD with the documentation. I assumed it was installed. I am just getting around to using iPhoto and last night I realized I am still running '08. So my question is--any downside to upgrading? I know some people aren't that happy with the new iDVD, but are there other downsides to '09? Thanks. This place is a great source of info for us Mac newbies.

2009 suite is better in every aspects IMO. But i'm quite satisfied with iLife'08 so don't think to upgrade.

I mainly use iPhoto and the new Places and Faces functionality alone makes it an interesting upgrade.

On the other hand if you don't use iPhoto to manage your photos, wait for other responses, because I cannot give you useful info on the other iLife apps.
