Should I upgrade to 4.3.3 then Jailbreak?

save your shsh blobs using tiny umbrella so you can downgrade back to 4.1 my self if ive been jailbroken on 4.1, 4.2.1 and 4.3.3 ive found both 4.1 and 4.3.3 more stable personally but others have had no issues with 4.3.3
if i was you id jailbreak on 4.1 to see what its like see how stable it is for you then if you missing features that a new iOS will offer then upgrade and re-jailbreak

If he doesnt have SHSH saved for 4.1, he cannot currently do so with TU because apple stopped signing 4.1 a long time ago. Only way for him to save 4.1 is to use "iFaith" before upgrading to 4.3.3. Then he can try 4.3.3 if he wants to (4.3.3 uses alot more ram due to iOS overhaul) and if he doesn't like it, he would need to use iFaith to build a custom "Signed" ipsw w/blobs for 4.1
Using iFaith, his only upgrade and downgrade path would be 4.1 - 4.3.3 and nothing inbetween. Cydia/Sauriks server would only recognize 4.3.3 SHSH but iH8snow/iFaith would recognize his 4.1 SHSH.
