iPhone 15 Pro Max Should I upgrade?

I've been on the upgrade every 2 years train. I have been a Pro Max user. I'm really not a power user, just wanted the latest and greatest. This year I am underwhelmed by the 17 pro max, I get it, the camera is better, processor is faster, better cooling. Just watching the keynote, it seems like all the features are even more tooled toward hardcore professionals than previous years. Also, I'm not really a fan of the aesthetics of the 'camera bar'.

I will say orange is my favorite color and that shade looks perfect.

I'm leaning heavily toward just keeping my 15 Pro Max. What do you guys think?

Already have one! and that was my thought when I saw that finish........ I'm just gonna put a case on it and cover it up anyway. I hate clear cases, they scratch, yellow and smudge like crazy

my 15PM battery could not last me a whole day and it was an oven with iOS26. The $3/month is worth the upgrade for me on Tmobile.

There is nothing inherently wrong with wanting the latest tech. But the practical solution is to keep using what you are using as long as you can unless the newer tech will give you something you absolutely need. You are the only person who can answer your question.

I’ve been using the Air since Friday and I might return it and stick with the 15 Pro Max. I am itching for the new cameras but the aluminum body and thickness is deterring me. Not sure yet.

I didn’t realize iOS updates could change battery/heat that much. Also curious about the “iPhone Air” mention do you guys really notice a big difference between the 15PM and 17 in daily use?
