Should I upgrage to iTunes 10?

I apologize if this question has been answered but I couldn't find anything on here searching.

I'm currently jailbroken on 4.0.1 (used jailbreakme.com) and I'm still on iTunes 9 (9.2.1) and I was wondering if it's okay to upgrade to iTunes 10? If I did, will there be any problems with a future jailbreak or ruin my jailbreak now? Also, I heard some people had problems syncing their iPhones. I have an iPhone 4, if that matters.

should i update if i don't intend to update my ip4 ios to any future updates?
