Should I wait for the 3g iphone?

I really want to get an iphone and my bday is just around the corner. So do you think I should get one, or wait till the 3g iphone comes out [but who knows when that'll be? ]

There won't be a new iPhone (version 2 with 3G) until mid-summer at the earliest. Seems like a long time to wait for a phone, and that's the best case scenario.

Get one now. I got mine when they were launched here in the UK in Nov and the novelty still hasen't worn off.

3G - pah!

At first I planned to wait for a 3G iPhone too.. Then it dawned on me.. Why do I want 3G? My previous 2 phones both had 3G and I don't think i ever used it!
Once the 16gb iPhones came out, I jumped right in and got one. Besides, EDGE isn't actually that bad you know.

No choice here in Japan.

We are patiently awaiting the 3G version of the iPhone to be introduced.

All I know is that it will be this year, whatever that means.

i decided to go ahead and just buy one....switched from verizon to att yesterday and got the 16gb iphone...i'm sure i will miss verizon but this is a freakin sweet phone.
