Should the iPhone Pro Max be renamed to iPhone Ultra, with a greater difference in features between the Pro and Ultra models?

No because the iPhone Ultra will be larger than the Pro Max.
I'm ok with Pro/Pro Max. iPhone and iPhone Pro followed by the screen size would be ok too.
the pro and pro max have the same features and specs, the max just has a larger screen and battery, and obviously physically larger and heavier. In some years, the max has a bit better camera zoom, but that's really the only differences. This year, the zooms are equivalent.

I’ll patiently wait for the next big thing - iPhone Pro Max Ultra XL.
“Ultra” is the cheesiest most 90s word going. “Ultra HD” sounds like it should be on the box of a sega genesis. It’s ridiculous.
The fact that it’s the standard for a resolution, and that Apple uses it for a chip name is just so silly and sounds so amateur.

Perhaps. But you have to admit that “Max” sounds even dumber. It’s like a dog’s name or the red text on a cheap cereal box that says we’re getting a bigger pack for the same price.
Personally I’m hoping, especially with the quickly approaching iPhone 20s and 21s which are just going to sound absolutely ridiculous, we see a rethink.
Next year, we are apparently going to get a 6.6 inch iPhone air. If this is followed the the next year by a smaller Air around 6.0 inches, we will see a rebranding.

No more numbers, we just referred to them by year/processor generation like iPads and MacBooks.
