For those that were disappointed with the new iPhone 3G.
Vote for yes or no if apple should make a iPhone Pro. For the people that want all the features that are not on the current iPhone 3g.

yes i think we should chose between 3 and 2 G. as long as the 2G one is like mega cheaper.

I think this would make a Pro.
4G network.
Lighter.
All Metal.
Real GPS not AGPS.
64 GIGs.
Thinner.
Metallic Aluminum.
Front Mounted Camera for Video Conferencing.
Double the Battery Life.
Faster Processor.
Better Resolution.
The Screen can maybe be bigger and the button spacing can be condensed.
Flash Capable with Faster Processor and Battery Life.
Different design from iPhone 3G.

Just some rough ideas.

I would buy it..

4G networks don't even exist in america, for consumers at least.
why have it lighter? i like having the heavy phone. its more durable.
all metal? what about scratches and dents? also you get a better signal with plastic instead of metal
aGPS is the same thing as GPS, if not, better.
64GB would be impossible ATM. 32GB flash chips aren't even cheap enough yet, thus no 32GB iPhone.
thinner? it makes it harder to hold that way.
i'd like the front mounted camera.
double the battery life, yet you want 4G and GPS....
iPhone already has a faster processor than a PSP and DS.
higher res would be nice, but impractical
bigger screen, less room in our pockets.
i'd like flash, but it wont happen for some time.
the current iPhone design will never change that much over time.

i like some of your ideas. most are small little things, some are impractical.

ok how about just making an iPhone that unfolds or slides and has 2 screens and use it to create documents, like Office and other simpler programs that would need a bigger interface and would use the other screen as the keyboard and tools and a main screen?

I think he meant using independent differential GPS instead of carrier assisted - which is completely idiotic. To do that, you'll drain the battery doing calculations which can be much more quickly and easily done somewhere else. aGPS IS GPS, it still uses satellite data as sonictonic said. I think Apple's implementation does use cell tower and wifi triangulation to assist the satelite data even further - as per their website.

Also, FULL METAL ENCLOSURE? Why don't you get an iPod Touch then? Cause that'll be all it's good for. There's a reason a faraday cage is made of metal. And why the last iPhone has a black plastic piece at the bottom. If they could, they would've.

Thinner? in a couple of years, the components will be small enough, but unless they come up with a new way to source the power, or batt tech evolves significantly, there is no way to make it any thinner.

I can keep going. What you're asking is not an iPhone pro. It's an iPhone 4th or 5th generation.

I guess a 4th Gen ... But I wish they did another model that was just more sophisticated for the consumers that want more features and options. Just like a Macbook Macbook Air and Macbook Pro.
