I push in the crown and tell Siri “four minute timer” (or whatever) on my Apple Watch to set ad hoc countdown timers. I do this all the time, it’s probably one of the most useful features of the watch. I hardly ever use the same timer duration so having a preset is not useful.

After I have Siri set a timer, I look at my watch face and the timer complication doesn’t show the time left on the currently active timer. It shows the preset default instead (5 minutes).

So to see how much time is left on my Siri-set timer, I have to push the wheel, find the timer app, and find the actual timer, which is a hassle.

Is there a complication that can show the time left on the active countdown timer?

Note that it’s never the case that I have two timers going simultaneously, although I understand this is a possibility.

Thank you.

I rarely use the timer, but I was curious. I set up a watch face with two timer complications — one small circular and one larger. I chose the "Timer" complication from the list for both. I asked Siri to set a timer for two minutes. You can see that the countdown is showing on my watch. (Watch series 7 and WatchOS 8.5.1.)

It's kinda cool. I might add this complication to one of my usual faces.

Ahh! Thank you for the discovery, selecting the 'Timer' Timer complication this shows the active timer, exactly what I was looking for! If it were up to me, I probably would have named it the Timer "Active Timer" complication, instead of confusingly calling it Timer "Timer". And I'm kind of curious what the behavior is if I have two timers running simultaneously, but I kinda don't care since I never do this, but anyway, this is great!

Looks like the complication shows the timer that's shortest. When the first runs out, it shows the other. I assume if you had more than two it would go through all of them in a similar manner.
