I have this debilitating disease where after I open the lid of my laptop and type in my password I'm distracted as soon as I see whatever it was I was doing before. My memory is then completely wiped and I can't remember what on earth I was supposed to be doing?

How can I automatically show a blank firefox tab after typing in my password? Since I'm already logged in and just resuming a session, putting a script into 'login items' won't work.

By the way, it's really annoying having to type in a password after waking the laptop from sleep mode so I have to use a short password. How bad is this? Is there a way to improve this? The only thing I can think of that's easy is to use a YubiKey? But a Yubikey can only type one long password with a short tap so you'd have to choose to use it for your user account OR your admin account. It's not really enough. I can't imagine that many people user something like this. What do most people do and what should they be doing?
