Hi,
where i live, i only have 6mbit connection. So when anyone in my wifi is watching a youtube video, or even worse, uploading and downloading pictures off the icloud, my internet is kind of overloaded and noone can use it properly.
So we´ve done some testing and its my brother with his iphone and macbook using the internet 24/7 and reaches max down and upload rates.
Is there a way to check what programs use the internet and for how much data?
On my PC i have a program called NetLimiter where it exactly shows you taht and you can even limit the traffic for every program running at the time.
I am really frustrated and we couldnt find any solution to this yet because he himself doesnt know whats doing the down and uploading. We even closed specific programs and it still uploads stuff for hours.

everyone here wants to know what computer your are using with the OS X and connection speed.
then they will want your to upgrade to HS and install new ssds and rams.
the demand will be multiple and swift so watch out!

Yeah, just open Activity Monitor, the last tab (Network), there are columns for sent and received data (not sure if they're there by default — if not, right click the column names and enable them).

thanks a lot. I now know its the Foto Agent who is permanently uploading stuff, even tho the uploads are stopped in the program. When i am shutting down the process its immediatly opening back up and is continuing to upload.

Any idea what that could be?
