When I got my lovely Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus yesterday, I immediately began looking for a great case to put it in, and as I had a bunch of nice clear cases for the 6 Plus lying about, I decided to test them out on the 6s Plus. Here are my favorite four so far:

Ballistic Jewel for iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus:

A great deal at an MSRP of $19.99, this case offers 6 foot drop protection and nice grippy TPU. It has high corners that do a great job protecting your screen, and it looks outstanding on the Rose Gold 6s Plus:

Griffin Survivor Core for iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus:

With 6.6 ft of drop protection and great, grippy sides, the Survivor Core has always been one of my very favorite cases and I think it looks wonderful on the iPhone 6s Plus Rose Gold. At $29.99, it is also quite reasonably priced.

Griffin Reveal for iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus

The little brother of the Griffin Survivor Core, the Reveal is sleek and pretty, but only protects for a 3 ft drop, as opposed to the Survivor Core's 6.6 ft. However, it has a slightly smaller footprint and some may prefer its more moderate styling, and it is priced lower at $19.99.

Verus Crystal Mixx for iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus:

The Verus Crystal Mixx is a simple TPU and polycarbonate combination case that is generally available for quite a reasonable price and looks very pretty indeed on the Rose Gold 6s Plus. It has an MSRP of $24.99, but is usually available on Amazon for quite a bit less: currently it is selling for $12.99. My only concern about this case is its lack of a drop protection rating--other than that, it seems quite a very nice case, especially for the price.

Conclusion: Overall, out the the four, my two favorites are the Ballistic Jewel and the Survivor Core. All four are nice, but those two are the most protective, and I currently have the Ballistic Jewel on my phone due to its superior screen protection. Love those Ballistic corners!

Check out my YouTube review for more details:

Thanks!

Does the spigen rose gold case match the rose gold iphone? im curious to see if spigen got the color right

All those cases look terrible.
To each his own! I personally prefer the all clear look of the Ballistic Jewel and the Verus Crystal Mixx, but the Griffin Survivor Core and Reveal show off the color with their clear backs, despite their black sides. I am going to be receiving and reviewing the new CandyShell Clear case next week, and I suspect it will look better than these cases, but they were the ones I had lying around my house this weekend :)

I had the jewel in my 5s gold. It looks good but it yellows
I've had the Ballistic Jewel since April and it hasn't yellowed any, I don't think. I haven't given it very heavy use, though. I've heard that the yellowing issue with clear TPU is caused by exposure to small amounts of dirt and oil over time, because the TPU absorbs things. Don't know if that is true,though....

The colored rim on my Ultra Hybrid is an extremely good match. It's a very barely perceptible bit more gray which makes it a teeny tiny bit darker. When I say gray, I mean that the overall rose gold color appears to be composed of minuscule metallic flecks. The actual iPhone rose gold seems to have more gold and copper tinted flecks contributing to its overall hue. The case has some grayish pink flecks. The color difference is extremely minor.

I've got this on order from Amazon and it is supposed to arrive today:

http://www.powersupportintl.com/air-jacket-flip-for-iphone-6-6s-plus/

I ordered the blue cover because the vendor was offering same day delivery (ties morning) via Prime for that color only. I probably would have preferred the gold cover but blue may be less likely to show stains and be less conspicuous sticking out of my back pocket.

I have gotten so used to the convenience, versatility and screen protection of folio/wallet cases that I really had to get it even though I also do like my two clear Spigen cases. The back on this is folio case is also clear, so it's basically my ideal case.

Please continue to review the clear and frost cases. I ordered the rose 6Splus and also am looking for a clear or at least transparent matte. I prefer the really thin ones but that have some grip. Right now my 6 plus has a frost transparent Staples brand case. I hope it fits the S Plus as it's really a decent case. It's thin but has good grip and so far hasn't yellowed at all. It fits like a glove and hugs the edges tight without the bolder bumper look. The buttons all work easily and no branding. It's held up extremely well - no scratches - still looks like new. If it fits my new phone well, I'll be all set.

It looks cheap.

i cant speak for the folio version, but the regular air jacket which i have is anything but cheap. extremely high quality, extremely precise, excellent coverage, and not that yellowing TPU crap.

YES, this iteration of the air jacket is hard to remove, but so what? its a phenomenal case in every way. had mine for a year now and its perfect.

He was trolling I think, hence my lighthearted response. If it was an honest opinion, well it is what it is. I can't tell a person what to think and I can't make them be more kind so I just let it roll.

I'm sure it is a nice case. I did get it at a discount from Amazon. However they have botched my same day order so it's not getting here today. I'm actually not sure when it's arriving. Boo.

I would be surprised if it doesn't fit. I didn't even know Staples had iPhone cases. Thanks for sharing. If my Spigens get all yellowish I'll have to give Staples a try.

Yeah, if you're not using a clear Power Support Air Jacket as your clear case, you're missing out.

I've yet to see another clear case come close to the slimness AND protection that the Air Jacket offers. It's pricey, but a worthwhile investment, IMO.

I'm thinking of getting my wife a Tech21 case for some sort of drop protection. There's a clear one with a white border that looks like it should match the rose gold. Does anyone have that combination?

I like the Air Jacket except for the bottom edges not being symmetrical. I know it's a tight fit and that helps getting it off but it bugs me.

Yeah I tried so many cases that I lost count. And low and behold, I happened upon the super thin cases at Staples in Staples brand packaging but no branding. They are made in China but the the fit, cutouts and quality are top notch.

Picked this case up for my wife and it looks great. I backed this on KS: https://www.kickstarter.com/project...iphone-6-6s-6-plus-and-6s-plus?ref=nav_search
so am waiting for those to show up to see how they go..... but as far as protection/look goes we are both happy with the Ultra Hybrid.

Obviously people can do what they want but

... is the same as...

Grandmas think that it looks good because they're preserving the cushions from getting dirty but everyone else just rolls their eyes because all they see is an aging couch that is eventually going to be replaced anyway.
