Hello Everyone,

After updating to 10.5.7 using the Combo updater, I noticed that the "Show Package Contents" option in Finder is no longer available for .pkg files.

Just to clarify, the "Show Package Contents" option is still available for regular applications.

In 10.5.6 I could right-click on a .pkg file and select "Show Package Contents" to see the files that were contained within. This was very useful to learn about the actual files that would be installed on your system.

Could someone else confirm that 10.5.7 removes this option for .pkg files.

Thanks,
Robert

Hmmm...

Upon closer inspection it appears that the option is available for some .pkg files, but not for others. I never noticed this behavior before. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Rob

sorry to start up an old thread, but I'm in 10.6.4 and I'm having the same problem... some .pkg's open, some don't. any solutions?
