Hey guys,

I am not sure if this is the right forum but I am kind of in a pickle.

Mother requested a sound system for Christmas. What she wants is - a base speaker that can play off her iPod (AUX preferred, maybe Bluetooth will be okay, too), but also connections to speakers in the ceiling.

I was thinking like a Sonos + the speakers to go into the ceiling but I'm having trouble understanding how this would work.

Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance.

Bluetooth can only connect audio to one device at a time.

I think you are basically looking at a multi-room system but for one room. The only recommendation I have would be to run Bose Soundlink or Soundtouch speakers / adaptors which can do this (controlled by iOS app). AirPlay would be better but requires third party apps to play on more than one speaker from iOS.

I assume the speakers will be waterproof as otherwise that could be fatal.
