showing devices in menubar

Is it possible to have a kind of dropdown list of the devices (hard drives, dvd drives, usb drives) from an icon in the menubar? It would be very convenient. Thanks in advance for any info you have.

You could install iStat menus and only enable the drives icon. (Though there are many other cool things it can display.) IIRC, it shows all connected volumes, including removable media. Only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

That's a cool app. Thanks. Unfortunately CDs don't show up in the drives menu.
