Ok I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question but I wonder why cant you just use some1s SHSH blob if you didn't save yours?

I mean the iPhone is still the same by the iOS and version so whats the problem?

The SHSH is built from a unique device id on your phone. If you don't use the SHSH that is unique to your phone, it doesn't work.

The blob is on a server, not your phone. How do you think you're going to access it except via your unique device id?

So there is no possibility to get that id from an old saved blob and insert it into the one you want.

Or should they be a way to find and generate the id if it changes for every blob (version you want to install).

Im sorry if I sound like a n00b or whatever but after reading some topics I kinda think that this part of iPhones and apple software hasn't been researched enough and all of their possibilities opened.

Being a newbie is one thing, being stubborn and refusing to accept the facts is another.

Did you bother to READ any of the replies in this thread?

Your question has been answered. It's unique to your phone, period. You can't go back in time and get it or cobble it together with another blob from another phone or another blob from your phone. Accept this or you spend the time researching a way for it to be done, test your method, and get back to us only if you find a way.

Asking your question again and again or in different ways will not change the outcome of your inquiry.

There is an algorithm that calculates a unique blob for each phone and version of the OS.

Let's ignore OS version for this very simple example. Let's say the example algorithm is:
E + 10 = S
where E = the ECID which is a unique number for each phone, and S is the resulting SHSH blob code

If my ECID = 101, then
101 + 10 = 111
Thus my SHSH blob is 111.

If your ECID is 102, then my SHSH blob will not work for you because your blob will be 112.

I'm using a very simple example. The problem is that the algorithm is very complex and is not public knowledge. If someone figured out the algorithm, then we could reverse engineer the blobs. As of now, no one has been able to do it, and its not really worth the effort since saving blobs gets us around the problem.
