Every once in awhile I'll hook up TU and update my SHSH's. I recently did it today and it seems odd, for some reason, the amount of SHSH's I have.
Previously, when I ran TU, I got the SHSH's as well as a corresponding .bak file as well. So, for instance, my 4.1 blob(s) look like so;
iphone4-4.1.shsh
iphone4-4.1.shsh.0.bak
These were viewed as a UNIX file which I assume is normal.
I just ran TU again to get my 4.3.1 blob however all of my .bak files are gone from my local hard drive and, in addition to the SHSH's I already have, I have a completely new set of SHSH's (all the same ones) however they start with
iphone3,1-4.1.shsh
So for my 4.1 blobs, I have
iphone4-4.1.shsh
iphone3,1-4.1.shsh
Questions I have are;
Are the .bak files important at all?
Why are there two different shsh's for every single blob I have now?
