In Cydia my phone says along the top
SHSH: iOS 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1, 4.2.1+

My phone is on version 4.1 (8B117) JB'd with pwnage tool
Firmware is 05.13.04

My question is why is Cydia saying 4.2.1+

Once you press the make my life easier button cydia gets all future shshs for your device whether you are on that firmware or not.

A simple search in this forum would've revealed this information as well.

There were multiple releases of 4.2.1 I believe, and you got them saved on Saurik's server. It's normal.

Yes the 3GS have 2 releases of 4.2.1 and each of them generate a different set of SHSHs (4.2.1 and 4.2.1a), the "+" means that Cydia got both SHSH
