I work for a church and we were thinking of buying an iPod to plug into our phone system for "on hold" music. I'd prefer a shuffle since i dont need a screen. But, the Shuffle dock doesnt have a headphone jack for audio-out while it's charging / plugged in.

Are there any 3rd party docks that have a headphone out jack?

I dont want to have to by a nano unless I absolutely need to.

I think that might be impossible...
Due to the headphone jack is the only port for the device... it's either audio out or power in.
I could be wrong.

Even Griffin's dock adapter has a switch for power in or audio out.
