iPod Shuffle mode broke

I updated iTunes via system update to v7. Now, for the life of me, I can't get shuffle mode (or random play if you will) to work. It's set in preferences for that, but it plays everything in sequence. What has happened here? Any ideas??

mine works fine...

My prefs say shuffle is on, and my shuffle button at the bottom is pressed.

LOL. The button at the bottom! That was it. Thanks! I'm still trying to learn all the Apple stuff.
