when you put itunes on shuffle, does it play out the whole playlist at least once before repeating itself? or is it just random whether it's already been played or not?

I thought so too, but a few songs were noticeably being repeated in one sitting. And I know that it's not just running it's course because the playlist has about 200 songs.

thats weird

No. Yes.

There a setting in the iTunes preferences to adjust how random you want iTunes to be.
