Shuffle without itunes?

Hey guys is there anyway on a mac to drag and drop songs onto a shuffle without itunes?

There isn't an easy way, AFAIK. But if you are into the geeky Linux-y way, you could try rebuild_db. It's a Python script that rebuilds the iPod's database, it's cross-platform so it will work on Macs too.

btw i think python is included on the mac by default; no need to install developer tools

Yes, Python is included with Mac OS X. Not the latest version though. Only Python 2.5.1 on Leopard 10.5.4.
