Hi.

On my MacBook Air I can shut down my Mac by holding down ctrl+alt+cmd+ eject key, but does anyone know how I can do that with the 13" MacBook Pro 2016 w/ Touchbar?

Got it!

To shut down the new MacBook Pro with TouchBar you have to hold down shift+ctrl+alt and press the power button :)

For some reason the Mac shuts down much faster this way compared to when click the Apple logo in the menubar and select Shut Down... I wonder if it can damage the system or my files by doing the "shift+ctrl+alt and press the power button" command?

What do you all think?

How long are you holding down the power button? More than 5 seconds and you're just powering off the system without shutting it down. Bad idea.

Old thread I know, but the shift-ctrl-opt-touchID combo is the SMC reset, which also instantly powers off the MBP. So not a safe option for shut down on a regular basis.
