Are there any suggestion on why my imac (1.5 years old) takes 15 min to shut down and how to stop this from happening? I have not had it on the internet for about 6 months and now if i connect to the internet it take 15 min to shut down. If i haven't connected to the internet it's fine.

I would be grateful for any help on this.
:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Every time i go on? even happens if i leave it to switch off then turn straight back on and run shut down again. thought it may be to do with mobile me settings but not sure how to change them?

You stated that you haven't had the iMac on the internet in about six months, so there would be six months of updates. Some of these updates are big and take some time to install. Since the computer is trying to catch up on the updates it could be the reason for this issue.

Mobile me may be causing it, however I do not know as I don't use that program.
