I have 10.7.3 installed. When I shut down, a window appears that says "Are you sure you want to shut down your computer now? If you do nothing, the computer will shut down automatically in 45 seconds."

Under that (in the same window), there is a check marked square at the start of this these words: "Reopen windows when logging back in"

I always uncheck that square next to the last quoted line and I never want the previously used windows to be reopened. How may I have that square unchecked by default?

Thank you for your help.

The good news is that the upcoming OS X 10.7.4 update will remember your choice of having that option checked on or off at shutdown...finally.
