shut off imac display

hey is it possible if you are running an extended desktop with screendoctor on an imac g5 to be able to shut off/ make black/ or prevent burn in on the imac lcd? like being able to run a screen saver on only one display. is there any freeware out there that will let me do this?

Turn the brightness all the way down.
