Hello,

So I have a 2012 macbook pro 13" i7 8gb ram 750gb HDD. Believe its the md101ll/a model.

Anyways. I've owned the macbook for a couple weeks and recently my complete random shutdown (just goes instantly dead, as if battery was pulled) has gotten really bad.

So here and there I will get the chime and it will load. Most of the time it would just flicker when the power button was pressed. What I mean by this is, the light at the base would come on, you can hear the fan and HDD start up. And then shuts right down. Would do it over and over until battery was unplugged.

I took everything apart hoping for a loose connection, put everything back together one piece at a time while trying, but to no avail did it work. I tested the ram, its good. Swapped the HDD. Its good.

But!!! While attaching the last connector that is closest to the keypad. (How to explain this. Lol I took a picture if anyone can tell me how to load it. ) When looking at the logic board, there are 3 connectors in a row. The HDD. The CD drive (I think) and then the one that goes to the speaker. Well if I press down on the last connector it boots normally.

I know its not the connector itself or any of those components. Its when I actually press on the mother board. What's on the other side that would need pressure? I took it apart and can't recall anything being there.

For now I put a piece of cardboard between the connector and the bottom case. The laptop works perfect. Its a strange issue but if anyone has ideas I'm all ears.

Thanks
